Chora ( Mykonos Town) Sites & Attractions
Chora ( Mykonos Town) is a very beautiful old island town that manages to maintain a balance between tourist development and traditional characteristics. Mykonos Chora is full of whitewashed houses, quaint windmills, a multitude of chapels, busy alleyways with flowered balconies and a multicolored fleet of fishing boats at the port, all which create a breathtaking spectacle. While in Chora, you have the opportunity to take a stroll through Alefkandra, Mykonos’ “Little Venice” and visit the windmills, the stunning Paraportiani Church as well as the Archaeological, the Folklore and the War Museums.
Other attractions on Mykonos Island
Take some time out from you busy vacation schedule to consult your Mykonos map and visit the Well of Giannaros and the 3 Hellenistic towers in Platis Gialos, the Monastery of Panagia Tourliani in Ano Mera, and the Pre-historic and Ancient ruins at Panormos Bay.
We also suggest you catch a boat from Ornos to Delos Island to see the ancient city dedicated to Apollo, which was also a major trade center of the Mediterranean during ancient times.
